Project Construction & Staging
During the design process, it was decided that closures and detours of TH 19 and the I-35 Ramps should be minimized to the greatest extent. As a result of that decision, the project will be constructed in 6 stages during the project. The next pages will show the proposed staging of the project, estimated durations, and if any closures are proposed.
Please keep in mind that the Contractor may propose changes to the staging to aid in constructability and/or to reduce the duration of the individual stage of the project.
Estimated construction durations are weather-dependent.

Stage 1A
Description: Stage 1A will consist of widening the Northbound (NB) I-35 Entrance Ramp and extending a culvert in preparation for work to begin on Stage 1B.
Traffic Impacts: No major impacts to traffic should occur during this stage. Lanes may be narrowed to accommodate construction.
Detour: None
Estimated Duration: 1 week
