Project Construction & Staging
During the design process, it was decided that closures and detours of TH 19 and the I-35 Ramps should be minimized to the greatest extent. As a result of that decision, the project will be constructed in 6 stages during the project. The next pages will show the proposed staging of the project, estimated durations, and if any closures are proposed.
Please keep in mind that the Contractor may propose changes to the staging to aid in constructibility and/or to reduce the duration of the individual stage of the project.
Estimated construction durations are weather-dependent.

Stage 1B
Description: Stage 1B will consist of the construction of the temporary TH 19 bypass road along with the widening of the NB I-35 Entrance Ramp, all in preparation for construction during Stages 2A & B.
Traffic Impacts: Traffic will be shifted to the south on TH 19 utilizing the existing shoulders. County Road 59 (CR 59) and County State Aid Highway 46 (CSAH 46) will be closed.
